The Crypto Merchant has announced the availability of The Nifty, a new cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufactured by SecuX. It is the first consumer device optimized for storing and displaying Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), with several extra security features not found in standard crypto wallets.

Though NFTs can be stored securely offline in most standard hardware wallets, the new Nifty from SecuX also allows traders to transact NFTs with Clear-View security, and review their owned NFTs on a “true ownership” display. The “true ownership” display prevents any NFT from being displayed on the device unless its ownership is associated with the private key stored in the wallet.
The device includes a 2.8-inch color touchscreen that is used for displaying owned NFTs and confirming the details of transactions. The Clear-View signing security feature ensures that specific information about each transaction is visible, including the NFT project details and recipient’s wallet ID, before a transaction can be completed.
Traders can use the Nifty Wallet as a standalone device, or it can be paired with a smartphone app to provide additional features, such as access to NFT Marketplaces. Companion apps for the Nifty Wallet are available at no cost for iOS and Android devices, on their respective app stores.
The SecuX Nifty wallet uses embedded security features that meet or exceed the industry standard, including a military-grade Infineon SLE solid Flash CC EAL5+ Secure Element chip. The device also features dynamic number-pad shuffling, which changes the location of digits on the PIN pad, so fingerprints or wear and tear cannot be used to guess private keys.
The device supports NFTs, coins, and tokens on the Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chains (BSC), but may not be suitable for all investors. Traders that require compatibility with an expanded list of tokens can find a full list of multi-blockchain compatible devices from SecuX on the company’s website.
Every Nifty Wallet is also secured with a backup recovery seed phrase, which is a unique pass phrase that allows traders to recover their cryptocurrency or NFTs if their wallet is lost, stolen, or damaged.
The Crypto Merchant is now the main distributor for SecuX products in the USA, South America, and UK. The announcement of their most recent launch is timely because clients in South America can now visit their Brazilian website.
