According to Alicia
“The title of this book sat on my desktop for over a year. I had no idea what to do with it, or how to develop the story. One day I woke up and was hit with such inspiration, I started typing and couldn’t stop. I wrote every available hour in my schedule for three weeks until the story was written. After the main story was completed, I started adding the finer details that made the story funny, shocking, rachet, and inspirational at the same time.”
“This is my first fiction novel. It is based around a Christian couple who fall in love and lose their way when one character who hadn’t dealt with grief carried a burden that wasn’t theirs to bear. This caused a domino effect that inadvertently caused more issues than anyone in this intensely private family ever bargained for.”
What Others Are Saying
“Beta reading this book left me in shock when the family secrets came out. I cried, laughed, and found myself falling in love with one of the characters. I’ve always found bad boys to be the most fun! My favorite part of the book was based on the dynamics of two characters who became friends because one chose to show compassion, despite her anger. Though the story is fiction, it shows how any relationship dynamics can change within seconds. It also showed how powerful forgiveness can be, and how Christians can fall. It was a long read that kept me riveted. Imagine sitting down with a book, and some cookies then reading with your eyes wide open discovering you had eaten the entire box because you weren’t paying attention to your cookies since all attention was on the book. Yep, it’s one of those. I didn’t expect this story would move into a second book but understanding the complex nature of the characters, I can’t see how it couldn’t. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This was a fun read. Be prepared to be shocked, to laugh and cry.”
